Mr. Charles Eames kicks off the Deal Center’s Guest Reading Series

Happy New Year from the Deal Center! Welcome to our blog, where we will highlight some of our day-to-day happenings, partnerships and research, and special events. Please visit often for updates on the Deal Center and our work.
We were excited to close out 2022 with a visit from Mr. Charles Eames, Jr. of Waycross, Georgia. Mr. Eames, who has devoted his career to library science and leadership, joined two early elementary classrooms at the Montessori at Lakeview Primary in Milledgeville, Georgia for a special reading of Snowmen at Night, a book by Caralyn Buehner. Mr. Eames kicked off the Deal Center’s Guest Reading Series, which will continue throughout 2023. It will feature a number of Georgia’s experts in the science of reading, who will join lucky classrooms throughout the state for special readings. We will provide audio recordings of each on our website.
