2023 Collective Impact Grants

May 31, 2023

Every year, the Deal Center and Get Georgia Reading proudly offer Collective Impact Grant Initiative funding to deserving organizations across the state of Georgia. Recipients of the 2023 Empowering Communities through Collective Impact Grant Initiative: Bringing the Basics to Communities in Georgia are awarded up to $25,000 each to support implementation of The Basics principles and strategies. During the month of May, we were excited to announce our new 2023 awardees! We also awarded up to $10,000 each to our Sustaining the Basics communities. During fiscal year 2023, the Deal Center allocated $310,000 total for Georgia communities to implement The Basics.

This grant initiative is grounded in The Basics, a group of evidence-based parenting and caregiving tenets to promote childhood development and capacity building. Grant recipients will use their funding to implement The Basics in communities throughout Georgia to improve social, emotional, and cognitive development in infants and toddlers.

We are excited to partner with these awardees as they embark on this important venture and we are honored to continue to support our past awardees as they sustain The Basics throughout Georgia. We look forward to reporting all of the exciting and novel ways our partners will embed these practices and continue to improve learning opportunities for Georgia’s children!
