International Dyslexia Association

The International Dyslexia Association of Georgia (IDA-GA) held its Dimensions of Dyslexia: Keys to Structured Literacy Conference August 26 on the campus of Georgia College & State University. This dynamic event featured three keynote speakers, including Joan Sedita, Dr. Elizabeth Stevens, and Dr. Jennifer Lindstrom, along with two breakout sessions. More than 70 public school teachers and administrators participated in this event, designed to connect professionals and to ensure all teachers feel confident teaching literacy to all of their students, including those with reading differences. The Deal Center was proud to support IDA-GA through its booth exhibition at the conference. Our staff was on-site and available to offer information about our current activities, including our ongoing Virtual Learning Series. We look forward to more IDA-GA conferences to come!
